How To Lose Weight In 10 Days
Filed under Diet PlansJan 25Adding years to your life, and life to your years, as the saying goes, is definitely a vital part of the reason for working on your weight. But no one would say that it hurts the cause how good we look when our bodies are healthy. A flat stomach, none of the sagging, and unwieldiness that comes with being overweight—being in shape is the best gift we can give ourselves.
This article series will give you all the important information you need to have if you’re trying to lose 10 pounds. And remember, that’s just a number I’m using so we have a point of reference. If you lose 10 pounds and can still lose some more weight, then just go ahead and lose another 10. This is just a good milestone figure that helps people who are trying to lose weight to maintain focus, and keep motivated.
Together we will go through the main reasons why diets fail most of the time, and why they will continue to fail. We are also going to look into how fat loss works in your body, so that you will develop a more concrete understanding of your biological make up—what your body needs, what it doesn’t needs, why you are overweight, and most important, what you need to do to fix the problem. A very important element of the approach you will learn in this article series is that sustainable weight loss results are only achieved when your weight loss regime coincides with your natural desires for a happy, enjoyable lifestyle.
If it’s too painful, or requires levels of will power that no one can maintain, weight loss success will be virtually impossible. I will show you how to lose weight, and feel comfortable while doing it. Some will power is needed, sure. You can’t expect to sit down in from the TV eating potato chips and buttered pop corn all day, without any exercise, and see the pounds drop magically. You’re going to have to invest your time, energy, and most of all your focus, into this weight loss project.
Our first point deals with the importance of building muscle. Usually when we think of the importance of muscles what do we have in mind; why do people want to have good muscles? Body builders develop muscles that are beautiful and strong, and a lot of people admire them for it, not just because of the discipline and hard work that it takes to get that way, but also because we all want to be strong, and we all want to look good. A well developed, muscular body is usually considered to be very attractive. And the ability to perform well in sports, or lift heavy objects is definitely a good thing.
But muscle, for someone who is trying to lose weight especially, also serves another very different and very surprising purpose.
Muscle helps you to lose weight!
Strong, toned muscles are what burns the calories that we eat when we consume food; and the more active, stronger, and well developed our muscles are, the more quickly our bodies will consume our calorie intake. My next article is going to look more closely into the important role of muscles in an effective weight loss program, and why dieting alone can never produce the results you need.
